Harland Clarke serves more than 43 million consumers through its relationships with more than 11,000 of the nation’s leading financial institutions, large retailers, affiliate marketing companies and accounting software providers.  HC has been the dominant institution in checking products for over 100 years.

Role: VP, Product Design - Innovation Team

Challenges
Separate platforms for small, medium, and large financial institutions needed to be optimized for mobile devices. I conducted a UX audit that identified opportunities to streamline product customization, increase cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and optimize checkout flows.

Solutions
In 2017, we unified the core shopping experience. Our new design reduced steps to completing an order by 35%. We also increased basket size by 23%.  The Universal E-Commerce Platform would ensure every partner and customer would get the same best-in-class experience.
